Today's Daily Christmas Poem is actually a whopping FOUR poems, with thanks to the wonderful children and staff at Hartshorne Primary School, for their word ideas!

Of Course I Won’t Touch the Glitter (for Willow Class)
Yuck, this Christmas jumper! (Nan's an awful knitter)
BUT
everything's better when it's covered in glitter!
Mum's gone out, I hate the babysitter
BUT
everything's better when it's covered in glitter!
My sister's new party dress doesn't fit her
BUT
everything's better when it's covered in glitter!
I don't like sprouts, they're green and bitter
BUT
everything's better when it's covered in glitter!
Snowflakes (for Oak Class)
Watching winter's snowflakes
drifting down, so slow-flakes
sparkling icy glow-flakes
putting on a show-flakes
making snowmen grow-flakes
but then, the sun, and no-flakes.
Celebrate Christmas! (for Beech Class)
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Christmas time is great!
Oh, what fun to laugh and play
Hooray! Let’s celebrate!
Jingle bells, jingle bells
I don’t think I can wait!
Time to hang our stockings up
Hooray! Let’s celebrate!
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Today’s a SPECIAL date!
Santa Claus has visited
Hooray! Let’s celebrate!
Under the Pine Class Christmas Tree (for Pine Class)
Under the Pine Class Christmas tree, I found
a robin called Nugget
a joke
a giggle
a lost plastic wallet
a sound like a wish
a poem full of similes
a chocolate Santa (shared)
a Christmas song
a smile when someone really needed it
and
a classroom FULL of imagination.
Of Course I Won't Touch the Glitter is Genius! Actually.
